Event Calendar for 2009 - 2010
The Adventure Club believes the best way for people to meet and make friends is through a variety of organized events that promote low pressure, casual interaction. Although large parties and bar events have their place and will be offered to our members as well, more "clubbie" personal events like card parties, wine tastings, chili cookoffs, and others bring people into a more intimate situation allowing far greater social interaction. Ideas are always welcome and we invite yours. Please contact us is you have a suggestion.

PRE-PAYMENT POLICY:
In our efforts to continue to provide the kinds of top quality events that have been the hallmark of the Adventure Club we are looking to new and more upscale vendors to work with. To negotiate and provide the best possible events, many of the better vendors require guarantees and therefore we must be sure of attendance numbers for them. Pre Payments will not be charged to credit cards until the deadline (trip deposits are NOT Pre-Payments). We will always provide ample opportunity to cancel with no penalties. This should be to everyone's benefit.

PUNCH LINE COMEDY NIGHT - FREE

Join us for our end of the week "attitude adjustment" laugh fest to get ready for the weekend. Eric Hubter performs non-stop around the country leaving his mark as a clean, funny, bright, friendly and original performer.  He jokes sarcastically about various topics, including his friends and Irish Catholic family, education, sports and relationships. Eric has performed with a wide range of comedians, including Louie Anderson at the Comedy Store in L.A., Brian Regan, Ray Romano.  In October, 2006, LA Weekly listed Eric in its “Some Of The Funniest Comedians In America” section.  You can see Eric perform on the Comedy Time Network.  He has made multiple appearances on the nationally syndicated “Bob and Tom” radio show and on their WGN television show. This is very limited and is FREE. MID WEEK DINNER BREAK

Another variation in our "every 3rd week" gatherings... a change of pace with our dinner series designed for a more intimate group limited to 16. Smaller groups are better for service and for getting to know the people attending. This lets us explore the smaller boutique restaurants, as well. HELEN "COOL" TUBING

Join us for a leisurely float down a crystal clear, cool mountain stream through Helen Georgia. It's a great "heat beater" and so much fun. Tubes are provided and a bus takes everyone to the beginning. This is always a great day and you can't help but have a good time. Cost is only $5, that's right, only $5 for hours of fun and relaxation with your friends. PAY THERE There are changing rooms to get dry before visiting the Helen stores, pubs and restaurants afterwards. Bring a pair of shoes to wear in the water, sunscreen and a big smile. (ropes and bungees are convenient to tie tubes together, too) We'll carpool from the Marta Park n Ride at MANSELL (EXIT 8) at 11:30 AM (otherwise we won't be able to keep the group together once there). Pay there. John will wear an Adventure Club shirt to help find the group. Latecomers will miss us. PLEASE RESERVE so we can tell them how many to plan for. This is another in our series of unique clubhouse events. A very exciting event with a fun dinner mixer afterward. Karen and I and several other members have attended several of these events. They are a BLAST. Our World Class mixologist and soon to be TV star with his own show will conduct an extremely fun and informative class of teaching YOU how to be a mixologist extraordinaire. You drink all the drinks you make as you go and this turns out to be quite the party. More details
